Positive and Uplifting Songs

Positive and Uplifting Songs

Sometimes you need to hear an encouraging song.  There is so much negative stuff all around you.  You need a break.

If you want some inspiration and enjoy some really good music, do a Google search on these song titles.

Then you can tap your toes, start humming a tune around the office, or teach your kids the value of positive and uplifting songs.

(These are in no particular order.)

Don't Stop Believing by Journey  Songwriters: CAIN, JONATHAN / PERRY, STEVE / SCHON, NEAL
Don't stop believing; Hold on to the feeling

“Ac-Cent-Tchu-Ate The Positive” - Words/Music by Harold Arlen/Johnny Mercer
You've got to accentuate the positive
Eliminate the negative
And latch on to the affirmative
Don't mess with Mister In-Between
You've got to spread joy up to the maximum
Bring gloom down to the minimum
Have faith or pandemonium's
Liable to walk upon the scene

“What A Wonderful World” recorded by Louis Armstrong. written by Bob Thiele and George David Weiss in 1967.

YOU’VE GOT A FRIEND ~ recorded by JAMES TAYLOR Music/words Carole King/Gerry Goffin

IMAGINE recorded by JOHN LENNON – Music/Lyrics John Lennon

Bridge Over Troubled Water - music/lyrics by Paul Simon
When you're weary
Feeling small
When tears are in your eyes
I will dry them all

I'm on your side
When times get rough
And friends just can't be found
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down

When you're down and out
When you're on the street
When evening falls so hard
I will comfort you

Whistle While You Work Music by Frank Churchill | Lyrics by Larry Morey  From the Walt Disney Productions animated movie "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" (1937).
Just whistle while you work (whistle)
Put on that grin and start right in
to whistle loud and long
Just hum a merry tune (hum)
Just do your best and take a rest
and sing your self a song

When there's too much to do
Don't let it bother you, forget your troubles,
Try to be just like a cheerful chick-a-dee

And whistle while you work (whistle)
Come on get smart, tune up and start
to whistle while you work
Don't Stop Written by Christine McVie [Fleetwood Mac]
If you wake up and don't want to smile,
If it takes just a little while,
Open your eyes and look at the day,
You'll see things in a different way.

Don't stop, thinking about tomorrow,
Don't stop, it'll soon be here,
It'll be, better than before,
Yesterday's gone, yesterday's gone.
