I'm Weird and I plan on staying that way! Now, does that mean I'm an alien from another planet?
Perhaps... but let's check out the definition from the Oxford Dictionaries of Oxford University Press

So, it could be that I'm supernatural or unearthly, or very strange and bizarre. But I choose to pick the archaic use of the word as a noun and declare that...
... I'm Weird and it's my destiny!
A few years ago my wife and I drove down to Austin, TX for a worship conference. There were signs and billboards all over town that said, Keep Austin Weird.
They know that their town is a unique place to visit and to live. And if you are going to move there they really don't want you to change it. They want it left just as it is - Weird.
And that's why I said in my opening statement - I'm Weird and I plan on staying that way!
I'm Weird because I spend more time on my Empower Network part-time business than I do watching TV.
Have I always been this way? Not until recently.
I used to come home from my ministry job and climb into my recliner with a Dr. Pepper and the daily crossword puzzle. I could sit there for most of the night doing the crossword and watching TV.
Of course, I would visit with my wife, but sometimes she would be in her bedroom watching her TV while I was in the living room doing my thing.
I made a decision to curtail the amount of TV I watch and spend quality time now on my part-time business. It's not a big sacrifice.
I mean, how many reruns of Seinfeld, Friends, or I Love Lucy, or Everybody Loves Raymond can you watch? You probably have most of the gags memorized! I don't know one episode of MASH or Bonanza that's going to make me any money!
I'm Weird because I spend more time listening to the Inner Circle audios of Empower Network than I do listening to Talk Radio.
I live in Oklahoma City, OK and I used to turn on KTOK AM 1000 every morning in my truck. I would listen on the way to the church. I would toggle between Glen Beck and KOKC AM 1520. And at lunch or whenever I was in the truck I was listening.
When my wife and I would travel in her car on long trips I would almost beg her to let me listen to Rush or Hannity. I was addicted.
But, now, I am listening to encouraging, inspirational, and motivational interviews and teachings on how to do my business better.
I'm Weird because I want to let my wife retire, get out of debt, pay off my mortgage, and have a retirement income.
I'm Weird because I want to help other people to become just like me. I want other people to achieve their dreams. I want to help other people to be successful no matter their race, religion or skin color. I want them to be Weird.
Weird is the NEW Normal.
